At the end of 2016, I was lucky enough to go to a two day workshop with @annamariahorner (she’s my favourite if you haven’t noticed) at @hettiespatch and she was lovely enough to draw this butterfly design for me. I actually still cannot believe her generosity! Well, I’ve finally got around to stitching it... it’s going to go on the quilt I started at the workshop when it’s done. Really keen to have it complete by the time Anna Maria comes back to Australia and @hettiespatch at the end of June! We’ll see... I’ve made a start anyway... and for me, there’s nothing like a deadline to get things done! #embroidery #wonderfilspecialtythreads #eleganzathreads

I’m sure I’m late to the party but I just found this great little hack for paper piecing with my Bernina. There is a little clear window on the Sewing platform to see the bobbin area without removing it. I hooked up an IKEA adjustable light to shine up through it. I can then see how my pieces are lining up! So much easier then holding it up to a light.
