Strapped to the sides of palm trees in Myanmar are rickety bamboo ladders used by “tappers” to retrieve the sap collecting containers which is used to make htan ye also called Toddy (palm wine). The finished product is a milky white alcohol which is refreshing in the heat of the sun and not too potent. I had a few small glasses with the locals and happend to spot this guy going up the tree.
