They say “Sleep like a baby” but babies also sometimes can have disturbed sleep. Have you ever noticed your baby suddenly getting awake and crying or sitting up and clapping or rolling all over the bed? I have. There are multiple reasons for babies waking up suddenly and doing random stuff. • The most common and probable reason for this is hunger. Babies have this survival skill that wakes them if they are feeling hungry while sleeping. Kanha wakes up twice in the night for his feedings. Initially I used to entertain him so that he stops crying and sleeps again. But then I realised its just hunger that wakes him up in the night. • Whenever your baby is about to reach any milestone, they tend to practice it more and more to excel it . When Kanha was trying to sit he used to wake up suddenly, sit and then clap and then go back to sleep. Also these days when he is trying his best to walk, he wakes up and makes his efforts to stand and then rolls back in the bed. (I love him doing that). •Separation anxiety is also one factor that lets baby wake up amd want to be with mummas. Just a simple hug and cuddles can soothe babies and they can go back to sleep. •Room Temperatures in which baby is sleeping also contributes in the sleeping pattern of your baby. Make your baby’s room temp moderate enough so that he doesn’t feel too cool or too hot. . . . So snuggle in and nap with your baby whenever you get time. . I've added another role to this ever changing juggling act. I started working a full time actual job, for over a month now. Nothing has ever pulled at my heart strings more. It’s been chaotic, emotional, challenging and very rewarding. We’ve opted for take out more then usual and have met in random parking lots to shuffle kids around. Cameron has picked up my slack (like literally, grocery shopping for a family of 6 💪🏻) and the girls are LOVING their Dad time. I’m thankful for the friends and family that have helped bring my girls to and fro. And I’m very grateful for my mom army that has literally wiped my tears and encouraged me when I’m breaking down at preschool drop off, love you all!
