Been a while since I hit the gym proper, there’s a few reasons for this. . I have been battling quite a few injuries (again), hurt my knee just before I deployed on OP RUMAN late last year, that then affected my left hip (which I have had dramas with over the years since smashing my pelvis skiing some time ago) . Both my left knee & left hip have took a battering over the years and my body just decided to give me a reminder that I’m not a young Thundercat anymore. This put me in a dark place and consequently I lost my “Gym-mojo”. . This time last year I had just completed a couple of Rowing & strength programmes and was feeling strong all over, it set me up perfectly for @caseyclarke39 programme which is a beast of a 14wk Base building rowing programme, I was just over half way through the programme when I hurt my knee, laid off it for a while and then deployed to RUMAN where I hurt it quite bad. . I’m now seeing a different Chiropractor who does the Mctimoney technique, very new to me but I hope it will provide some relief and balance to the number of issues I’m suffering with at the moment (neck,shoulder,knee & hip). . I need to have a different approach to training from now on, and look to “rehab” myself proper this time, far too many times I have tried to jump in and get to where I was before only to fall back into the same old routine and eventually re-injuring myself. Hoping to find some positivity and reconnect myself to enjoying training again once I get over these injuries. . Warmup •Lots of banded mobility, •dynamic stretches focusing on hips, glutes, knees. •X2 rounds of Tabata on the Airdyne. .
