I like to do a brain-dump before the weekend, so I can start with a clean slate the following week. Things get stuck in my mind over time, regularly distracting me from the important stuff I need to do. I feel that off-loading things from my brain has helped me improve focus. Do you brain-dump?
I can barely believe this just happened...but it did. I was frustrated because I had a great idea all day today but didn’t write it down. I was just reviewing my to-do list and wanted to jot it down but of course...the thought slipped away... . I thought about forcing myself to remember but then felt like smoke might come out of my ears 💨 ... . Mentally went through my priorities, but it wasn’t there... . Then tried to clear my mind...which I don’t do well...squirrel! . But am I ever so good at daydreaming and imagining things! So I did exactly that. I imagined I was searching for that idea under a stack of books and papers. It only took removing about 3 or 4 items until the idea literally felt like it popped out and jumped at me. And this time I wrote it down 🙃 ... . Write those thoughts down. . It’s sleepy time. . Muaz! . #selfawarenessjourney#seriouzlyhonest#founditems#visualizations#honestlytho#itstrueitstrue#youaremagical#youaremagick#yougotthisbabe#writeitdownmakeithappen#writethingsdown#focusmode#tasklist
Were you intentional with your day? I’m a paper and own type of gal. Digital planning has never worked as well for me personally as a good old notebook and pretty pens. Writing a weekly and daily task list has helped me reach my goals and grow my business to a level I never dreamed. If you don’t have a todo list for tomorrow write one right now! You’ll be more productive when you are prepared.
