I'm happy to say as I turned another year older this week that over these past couple years I've changed my mindset quite a bit. I have decided to not let fear hold me back. I decided to GO FOR IT. I took a chance. And although it was scary at times, it’s been worth it beyond what I can even tell you. I made some sacrifices, I took some chances, I was scared and sometimes wanted to give up - but in the end, they were all to make myself better and to teach women they are worth more than they know. They matter - their health and well being MATTER. They deserve to feel good - just like you and I do. So as I approach my two year anniversary since I took this leap of faith in becoming a health and fitness coach - I can’t help but look back on all the women that have joined me on this journey and cry happy tears. It’s been an amazing ride so far and I can’t imagine my life without this. It has changed me in ways I never thought possible, it has kept me accountable for my nutrition and exercise more than ANYTHING else ever has, it has entered me into a community of some amazing souls and it has helped our family financially. I mean, what’s not to love about all that? What do you have to lose? Nada. So BE that girl - be the girl who decides to take a chance! Whether that means starting on your fitness journey with me or joining me in this amazing community and helping other women all while you help yourself - that is up to you, girl! If any of this resonated with you, or if you’ve been watching me and you’ve finally decided it’s YOUR time - I’m just one message away. 💖✌🏼😉
I’ve been doing interval training for quite sometime now and prefer it over steady state cardio for a number of reasons. ✔️It helps build lean 💪 and lose fat ✔️Helps you 🔥 more calories while at rest ✔️Improves your ❤️ fitness ✔️Improves endurance ✔️It’s more time efficient ✔️You 🚫need equipment ✔️You can do it anywhere ✔️It helps beat 🏃🏼♀️cardio boredom! I put together a few fun, yet challenging body weight cardio exercises that you can incorporate into your own interval training. I like to vary my intervals week to week so some weeks I do 30 second intervals while other weeks I’ll do anywhere from 45 sec-2 minutes. You pick what feels right to you and then pick a couple exercises below and alternate them with a low impact exercise such as walking in place.
Bloodied (sweatied) but unbowed. Had to pour out a lil for THEE GREATEST PROGRAM IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL with my #eveningcardio. The boys decided to see what the rest of y’all PEASANTS can do without Ramses looming large. Woof. . . 27 meetings, 2 research studies, 4 brushes with brand death, and 48 hours of resting bitchface later, I’ve made it back to the hotel. Luckily, my dear Hector at the bar knows how to treat a lady right. . . Sipping on the sweetness that is being a self-made woman in a mans world.... and this Manhattan. 🥃 . . #businesstrip#twincities#lifestyle#lifestyleblogger#vsco#vscocam#vscofilter
