Here’s the deal...the sacrifice bunt is WAY underrated and not given enough attention to...this seemingly “simple” act can be the difference in a game to a loss and a win. ✨ Proper execution of the sacrifice bunt is key to success when the games are on the line to get the runner in scoring position. What I see done most improperly are a few things...👇🏻👇🏻 ✨ 1- starting the bat below eye level. Start the bat at eye level. See the ball hit the bat as if you’re peering into a tunnel on the bat. If the ball goes above the bat, it’s a ball. Pull it back. If the ball is lower than your bat, look at the second most improperly done mechanic👇🏻 ✨ 2-If the ball is lower than your bat (at eye level), BEND YOUR KNEES to get the ball instead of dropping the barrel of the bat. Dropping the barrel is a sure way to get a popped up bunt. ✨ 3- EVERYTHING shown in this photo should face the pitcher. I see many right handed girls facing first base on their bunt which means the ball will most likely be bunted that way. Completely have everything face the pitcher. Have someone check you just to be sure. So many times people aren’t fully facing the pitcher when they think they are facing her. 🎬🎬🎬@winningsoftball ✅ Follow, like and comment ✏ @softball.girl.insta 💘 Tag your love 👍👍👍 #softball#softballofinsta#softballproblems#softballislife#softballfamily#softballgame#softballprobs#softballswag#softballmom#softballsunday#softballteam#softballdad#softballposts#softballlife⚾ #softballready#softballsisters#softballbows#softballtime
Elgin High School Varsity Softball had the privilege to have McHenry County College Softball come out and help us with new drills, mechanics and what it takes to be a student athlete at the collegiate level. Thank you to Coach Wally Warner for helping me set this up! #family. #softball.
