I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentines Day/Galentines Day/Singles Awareness Day yesterday! @_jeremycard surprised me and brought me to the @ptboaxe club for a romantic evening of dinner and axe throwing. Dinner catered by @becatering was to die for, and I thoroughly enjoyed whooping Jeremy’s ass going toe-to-toe with some steel (albeit coming up short in the end😅). 12/10 would definitely recommend. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In other news, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared a project mood board! These clients are after a spa-like atmosphere for their ensuite bathroom. With a fairly neutral colour palette and hints of pattern and texture, this space will evoke a sense of calm while infusing elements that tie in the beautiful blue waters mere steps from their doors.🌊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Interested in starting your next home project? My 2 hour in-home design consultations are open for #kawarthalakes , #durhamregion and #greatertorontoarea clients. Online design packages are also available for clients across North America. #happymonday everyone! I wanted to share this quote because it’s SO important to remember. I have many clients that will ask for a certain element in their space but will follow up their request with “but I’m not sure if I should, that’s not what’s trendy right now...” I say the same thing every time - it doesn’t MATTER what’s trending, what matters is what makes you feel good! Just because millennial pink and jewel tones are currently popular doesn’t mean you must have them in your home if that’s not your taste. If you want a natural oak kitchen because deep down that’s what you truly love, there are ways to make it work. A good designer will take your wants and needs into consideration and WORK WITH THEM - not AGAINST them! I’ve worked with too many clients lately that tell me “I like working with you because you actually LISTEN.” I’m still shocked every time. That’s what I’m supposed to do, what was the last designer doing?!😨 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’re looking for design help from someone who’ll listen to you and work with your requests, contact me to see how we can work TOGETHER to solve with your design dilemma. Beverly Wellington Design Studio offers in-person consultations to clients in the Kawartha Lakes and the GTA. Comprehensive online design packages are available to everyone, whether you’re local or 3 provinces away. Visit my website or send me an email to chat about your design needs (link in bio). Because everyone deserves a perfect space.
#happyfriday everyone! I’ve been sitting on the photos from my West End project for a while, but I thought I’d finally post a sneak peak before unveiling the rest of the cabinetry photos next week. I can’t wait to share the rest, but for now enjoy this snap from the kitchen! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Photographer: @waferguson / Design: Dwell Design / Contractor: #jimwilliamsconstruction / Cabinetry: @cabinetree
Taking things slow this morning (aka dragging my butt out of bed) as I prepare for the day. Anyone else not a morning person?😴 Lately I’ve been finding my morning routine harder to nail down which results in showing up a few minutes late for work. I had a contractor ask what time I started in the morning and my response was “theoretically... 9 am”😅. Does anyone have tips to tackle the morning? Because I’m in need of ALL the help!
I loved designing this small but mighty kitchen last year at @cabinetree for #projectscollard. If you’ll remember the before and after shots, this kitchen was in need of a major overhaul. Despite working within the constraints of the floors we were able to redesign the cabinetry to work better for the clients. A peekaboo cabinet at the back of the peninsula, stacked uppers for some added bling in the pantry, convenient tray storage, and double level drawers were just a few things we did to improve functionality and aesthetics. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These clients took things a step further and hired me to pull together their countertop, backsplash, fixtures, and design custom window treatments (buh-bye dated vertical blinds!). All-in-all we were able to create a brand new space my clients love to be in that is not only functional, but affordable! Contact me to find out how I can help breathe new life into your space.
