First workout of #bbg week 12 done! ✅ I actually quite enjoyed this legs workout (mainly because it’s not hard to prefer it to week 11’s torture!) and finished off with green Thai curry & veggie gyoza’s for a post-workout dinner 🍴
So I learned a lesson which I want want to share with you. So I came back from the university at about 6. I was fully exhausted. I had worked hard. Pure theoeretical logic related work. So I was physically and psychologically exhausted. So I started doing what I always do. Start making excuses. You know, the usual. One day doesnt matter. You'll do it tomorrow. You are tired. You aren't in it mentally, so what's the use. And the creative. You have done enough hard work for today. You deserve rest. Maybe you burned enough calories studying logic, you don't need to workout. Who says study isn't workout. I had almost decided not to go to the gym. I gave myself some more false assurances. But then I thought to myself. What the fuck is the matter with you? Did you start working out just to give up this easily? I forced myself to think about all the things that made me want to workout and get in shape. And the tide started turning. My mind started resisting all the bs excuses. I stuffed my gym back and left my house. Ladies and gentlemen, am I glad that I did. I know it is a cliche, but cliches are cliches for a reason. I just felt so good after working out. Cardio and lifting and all. I felt so... for want of a better word, rejuvenated and alive. The tiredness and exhaustion from university was gone. I felt so good that I walked home. So here is the thing. I haven't stumpled ipon some hitherto unknown wisdom. It's just this. GO WORKOUT!!!!! JUST DO IT ALREADY. You are gonna laugh at all the excuses your mind came up with before you want. You are gonna be so happy that you went to the gym. Last thing. Just don't give yourself the option of not going. Just don't let it be an option. Because if you let it be an option, your mind is gonna come up with stuff to push you towards that option. Just let it be so that not working out is just not an option. Tell yourself that just giving up tired and exhausted at the gym is an acceptable outcome but not going at all is not.
💥VEGAN pre- and post-workout💥 - There are just s few things you have to keep in mind when approaching your workout! - Pre-Workout: First make sure you consume protein 1-2h before your workout, so that you have it in your system which makes sure your muscles are „protected“. - Carbs are important too, since they deliver energy and boost your performance in the gym! So go ahead and grab a simple carb source like fruit/dried fruit and go get jacked.💪🏻 - Post-Workout: there is no real „anabolic window“ in which you have to get your post workout protein in, but minimum 1-2h after your workout you gotta go munching. - Again, carbs & protein are your friend here, but if there is a fat source involved as well, the magic nutrition fairy won‘t punish you either. 😉 - Thats why smoothies are so amazing! Made in 5-10 min. and contain everything you need to grow plant-powered muscle. 🌿 - And thats all the magic there is! Go ahead and share this with someone who needs to know this! 🙋🏻♂️❤️ - I hope you had an amazing day! 🙌🏻 . 📸 @fritzness_
