plant based eating is def not all pretty smoothie bowls & artsy kale salads.. truthfully, it’s usually all the veggies you can find & a helluva lot of carbs ๐Ÿ’•  being plant based has allowed me to be more in-tune with my body, I crave random ass foods (usually weird vegetables) and I know that’s because there is a nutrient in that specific veggie that my body is in need of ๐Ÿ˜ฏ this here is an example of my average meal.. massive, full of carbs, mostly plants & not very pretty.. but that is OK because this is exactly what my body was in need of ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍โ™€๏ธ this was post workout dinner vibezzz; stirfry of kale, sweet potato, carrots & sprouted beans w/ some buckwheat noodles ft. avocado, chickpeas & nutritional yeast. makes sense why a healthy body would crave this as it’s such a well balanced meal; plenty of micronutrients & fibre from the veggies, omega 3 fat from the avocado, vitamin b12 from the nutritional yeast, complex carbs from the noodles, protein & live enzymes from the beans/chickpeas ๐ŸŒž

Brown rice roll w/ “spicy tuna” made from tomatoes๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿ… .take two tomatoes and slit an inch of the skin .boil water and place them in for 30-60s .carefully place the boiled tomatoes in an ice bath for around a minute .remove just the skin from the tomatoes and dice up, (I remove the seeds too) .prepare the marinade which is 3tbs soy sauce, 1tbs oil, 1/2tsp garlic powder, 1tsp pepper and spice to taste. Mix around with the tomatoes and let sit for at least 5 minutes.  Then build your own roll, I used: .avocado .cucumber .vegan spicy mayo .and the spicy tomatoes. Roll it up and top with sesame seeds or green onion. This is soo good and one of my favorite meals to make

While 20% of the earths oxygen is produced in the Amazon rainforest alone. We’re all so little, yet we have this momentous ability to make such an impact on our planet. Good news! It’s not too late for this little blue and green ball. As long as we start making moves now. All by introducing new changes weekly. Changes like: *using metal straws instead of plastic *caring reusable utensils or grocery bags *no meat Monday’s or everydays๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฝ‍โ™€๏ธ *thrifting (it’s where I’ve found my favorite pieces of clothing) *or spend time somewhere beautiful while picking up trash. So much of what destroys our planet is easily avoidable. We don’t really need plastic. Plastic is here forever it doesn’t go away. That plastic bag you used once at the grocery store will be here looong after you’re gone (Possibly forever). We also don’t really need to be shopping for new clothes all the time. The clothing industry weighs very heavy on our environmental resources and floods our water with toxins. Not to mention meat and dairy aren’t essential for our health. (Being the #1 cause for CO2 emissions and rainforest destruction) If we turn these small changes into weekly habits, before you know it they’ll easily become an enjoyable lifestyle. #gogreen #staygreen
Happy earth day! ๐ŸŒ To me, I choose to eat vegan to support the environment, animals, and my health. By choosing little acts everyday you can be part of a movement. A movement to change the world. Turn around climate change. Save lives! Some examples of being more sustainable are, choosing  eco- friendly bowls and utensils(such as this one from @coconutbowls), not getting straws, eating a plant based diet, walking or riding a bike in place of cars whenever possible, being more conscious when using water, and turning off all the lights when you leave! By doing these things daily, we can all make a difference!  By the way, this bowl is frozen bananas and coconut activated charcoal! Do you like the black color?  P.s new video is live on my channel! Feeling a little down this morning, as I hobbled out of bed and found myself getting angrier every time I heard the clock of my crutches every time I took a step forward. This photo was taken when I was at the peak of my training and now I struggle to get any sort of activity into my routine. Being injured isn’t easy, it gets frustrating and it gets emotionally challenging. I’ve had to adapt to the circumstances I’m in and that meant not being able to compete at the @challengefamily Melbourne triathlon event yesterday ๐Ÿ˜ž it was sad missing the last race of the season, however I know this rest os necessary for me to come back and do better next year. I’ve spent this time looking at other means of fitness, whether that means more body weight and strength training to just doing some ab excercises every now and then. Every fitness journeys have bumps in the road, so this just happens to be a big one. Sorry for being so MIA on social media, but I promise as I start to get comfortable on my feet again I promise they’ll be more content!! โค๏ธ love you bunniesโค๏ธโค๏ธ and I hope you have an amazing start to your week! ๐Ÿ˜˜

HAPPY EARTH DAY!! ๐ŸŒŽ ~ I love that there is a day to celebrate our beautiful planet, but unfortunately, we have not always been so good to her. ~ When I reflect on my personal life, I see that I’ve grown tremendously in making better choices for the world around me. Probably the best decision I’ve made was a recent one. ~ I went completely plant based almost six months ago. This one decision will help to reduce green house gas emissions, save a tremendous amount of water, and save precious lives! If there is one thing that you can do to protect our earth, it is to eat less meat/dairy! And if you’re curious, please consider going #vegan! ~  The last two photos are of delicious plant based food, proving that to go vegan doesn’t mean that you are giving up yummy things. Today we celebrate Mother Earth for being our source of energy and life every moment, from her molten core to her lush paradises and islands she is beautiful. Just like every man and woman is beautiful. Just like every mammal and sea creature or cave dweller is beautiful in their own existence! . . There is never a reason to harm a soul, there is never a reason to litter and trash this beautiful planet we live on.
