Weekend tips! Here are a few things that I share with my challengers every week as the weekend approaches. Weekends can ruin your progress, push you two steps backwards and discourage your mindset. Stay focused on your goals and remember that the weekends are just like any other day. Stick to your routine and stay on track!!
My Mom and I took the boys to the park today and then stopped by McDonald's for lunch 🍟 We never take them out to eat, so it was their first time sitting at a restaurant and eating. They both did great! 🙌🏻 I made a commitment to myself and my challengers to stay on plan this weekend. May sound like punishment to some, but I know that is what I need to do for myself right now. I am not in a place where I can have a treat or any junk and then expect to get right back on track. One of those fries would have sent me spiraling out of control and would have led to me coming home and eating more bad food, which would continue all weekend long. I wish that weren't the case for myself, but it is and I am thankful I know that about myself. McDonald's used to be a daily thing for me. Drive thru before work for a breakfast sandwich, or two. It was a snack on the way home. I used to stop and get a large fry anytime I hopped in my car to go somewhere. I would always dispose of the trash before I saw anyone, thinking that if no one saw me, then it didn't really count. I know McDonald's can make me spiral, but I also had to remind myself of the heartburn it would give me, the bloat and honestly, the stomachache too. It’s not just to lose weight, but because I like to feel my best, and my nutrition plays a big role in that! My challengers and I have a group message thread set up for this weekend called ‘Weekend Warriors💪🏻✨’ for everyone who is committed to stay on plan all weekend. I love that I help people for a living, but goodness, they help me just as much in return. I used to get such a hard time from friends and coworkers for eating on a meal plan and they would taunt me with junk in the office and I gotta say, I LOVE that I get to surround myself with positive, uplifting women on a daily basis who I get to support, and they support me in return. My handsome boys are both taking their naps and I am eating my on plan lunch and drinking my water.
