T minus 12 days till surgery!! I feel like setbacks in general are inevitable in life, not just in #fitness but just like in working out you don’t quit after the first rep or even the first set usually. But instead you get stronger every time you pick it back up. There are people who let setbacks beat them down and there are people who let them get them pissed off enough to do fuel them to new places. Working what I can and I’ve lost some muscle but I’m honestly surprised I haven’t lost more than this so I’m totally #blessed Rise above your setbacks this year and stay the course!
Filmed this last week to coach myself. Took these hundoz for a spin. They're a great weight for me to train explosiveness and recruitment. Goal is 25 reps with these in 6 weeks time. One of the reasons I love the weights is they train you mentally. You can't obtain physical feats without mental strength. Corrective weight training is constant in that challenge. Since I took this video I hit the 110s for more reps I've ever done. Simply by setting the bar (pun intended ha), I got breakthrough on one of my weakest body parts. My lifting ministers to me: As in life - there's only one in your race. It's you. The race is between the you now and the potential you. So many try to be like other people - and focus on what they're not. I want to encourage you that, that's counterfeit. Be the best you in this lifetime and be a gift to the world.
