It's been a while since I posted the usual everyday what is around my life! Some have moved on and of course I am blessed to spend time with the still others are evidently still here hanging around on my back lol. Wouldn't change a thing. Love country life, love having a hobby farm and teaching my kids to care for others beyond themselves as well as empathy. I have a very spoiled yard full of mostly rescued, wonderful animals that have captured my heart and still do everyday. I also highly recommend a donkey to anyone with the means to care for one. Those blow horns are floor belly laughing moments that I couldn't imagine ever not having the experience of. Horses also so majestic, give unconditional love and respect. Goats, well they show love also and are just hilarious. Please though do not get any pet of any kind because they are cute and fun. It's expensive! It's work! You require determination to be with them everyday! Vetting, farrier services, grooming, teaching, social contact! The list goes on. This is also a point made for kittens and puppies. Yes they are so cute. When they chew you favourite shoes or your couch then what? Will you push through the struggle because you've excepted the responsibility or throw them out to need rescuing. Iv seen horrible shapes of animals that have come through my heart and home, spent countless days, weeks, months and years to bring some of them back to health. Be wise folks! Spay and neuter, geld your livestock, stop the abundance of unnecessary breeding of animals that end up in shelters or on the streets. Donate when you can and save a life when you can. Adopt a pet, breeders are a dime a dozen and that's why our rescues and shelters over overloaded.
