I think about being in the wrong place, wrong time more and more these days. This morning I was heading into downtown #princeton with Atticus- my plans were to take a walk down Nassau Street as we do often and grab breakfast at Panera. • There was a gunman who entered Panera from its entrance on Nassau just 10 minutes before I would have been there. Thanks to my kids for making me run late as always. Thank you, Rowan, for pooping in your pants this morning and I’m sorry for yelling at you. As I was held up at the intersection (a few stores away) which was blocked off by police, my girlfriend texted, “Don’t go to downtown Princeton, there’s a gunman inside Panera.” I would have been there with Atticus- possibly chasing him down Nassau (or trying to herd him along because he can be so damn slow when he wants to be), or maybe inside eating a bagel. Who knows? Sometimes I think there’s someone watching over me. 🙏🏼 p.s. Here we are, at the way other end of Nassau Street, eating Spanish sandwiches instead and happily watching all the police cars race by.
I was so worried that Miles’s sleep schedule was going to be thrown for a loop while travelling out of the country, but I can happily say that he’s been sleeping better than at home. He’s been such a great little traveller this month!! I think the key is to stick to your bedtime routine wherever you are. Now I just have to get him to have 2 hour naps at home 🤪
