It was a damp cold November evening in the seaside town of #kilkee when this wonderful image presented itself. The quaint little seafront #bandstand - like something out of a children's storybook - gradually gave itself up to a truly spectacular winter #sunset For almost ten glorious minutes, the almost deserted promenade became a fairyland of magical colour. One could return to this spot again and again and never get an image this special.
Downpatrick Head, Co Mayo | This sea stack known in Irish as Dún Briste (meaning broken fort) is steeped in history, folklore and religious meaning, with it taking many chapters. As a gigantic geography nerd, to me it's most beautiful element is it's layers upon layers of multi-coloured rock strata. I love myself some sea erosion 😂 Photo cred: the talented @greenhills_steepcliffs - thanks for the tag! ☘ #roamireland
