Chicken Mushroom Stroganoff Have I ever told you that I’m a huge fan of Wesley’s? Especially the spice section??!! Well, I’m a big fan of the store, despite the fact that they don’t always have constant supply of the products they display at their store. Anyway, several weeks ago, I bought Schwartz mushroom stroganoff mix & decided to whip it up for dinner. Here how it went: Ingredients - 500g chicken breasts, sliced - 1 big yellow onion, chopped - 5 big white mushrooms, sliced - 1.5 tsp dry parsley - 1 tsp garlic powder - ¼ tsp black pepper - 1 sachet Schwartz mushroom stroganoff mix - 225 ml milk - ½ cup water - Salt, to taste, - Vinegar - Cooking oil - Cooked white rice How to Soak the chicken slices in vinegar. In a deep pan, heat some cooking oil & sauté the onions & mushrooms. Meanwhile, drain the chicken, then mix in the dry parsley, garlic powder & black pepper. Once slightly browned, add the chicken to the onions-mushrooms & cook through. In parallel, mix the Schwartz sachet with milk; when chicken is cooked, lower the heat & add the milk mix & the additional ½ cup of water. Let boil for 2 min & turn off the heat. Serve the chicken with basmati rice (I added corn to it), & enjoy a quick delicious dinner!
