Heyyy guys! I'm going to be completely honest & admit that coming away, I had a vision of amazing content I wanted to produce for my blog. Content that was heavily Insta inspired, beautifully curated and 'perfect'. The reality is, I'm travelling. Like, properly travelling, backpacker style. I'm not staying in fancy hotels with AC and the comforts of the western world. I'm out here on my own. No photographer. No fancy camera. I'm staying in 20 bed hostel rooms most days (really not as bad as you'd think) and I've brushed my hair twice since being away for 19 days (also not so bad) So, in honour of wanting to show you the 'real' side of travelling, I'm giving you a snippet into what I've been up to so far. Over the next few days I'll be bringing you some fresh new blog posts AND videos that aren't through a rose filtered lens. I can't wait for you to see!
We live on the edge of the world, so why be afraid to live on the edge of your comfort zone? This week has been an amazing week of discovery for me because I faced another one of my fears with a positive outcome this time. The last time I faced one of my fears i went zip lining and freaked out big time... we're talking a full blown panic attack! But I decided to face the fear of heights for a second time during a "waterfall walk" which turned out to be climbing up a 10 metre waterfall among other less challenging feats.. and this time I didn't have a panic attack AND I enjoyed it! Moral of the story.. facing your fears isn't always awful, but if it is, find a different way to face the same fear and then nail it! . . . . . #treeoflifetravelingmidwife#travelessons#travelquotes#faceyourfears#lifelessons#fearofheights#femalesolotraveler#worklifebalance#worktravelrepeat
