I lived right out front of this basketball court, this time last year. Living here in the city will always bring me this nostalgic warmth of autumn nights and street fairs, mom &pop shops, and a familiar quiet sax playing around the corner. It didn't come without hardships though. That time around finals affected everything around me. I've learned the most beautiful things from the most painful experiences. And sitting here now, days from completing my undergrad, with a full-time job at my dream company and international travel plans, I wish I could tell the Esplanade girl what her life would be a mere 365 days later. I thank God for this life. This turbulent, simple, wonderful life. My, what a difference a year can make.
