'The Point’, located in the heart of Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, is more than more than just a quaint shop serving coffee connoisseurs. @coffeeatthepoint serves as a space for relaxation, a center for the exchange of ideas, a workspace for entrepreneurs, and of course, a great place to grab a quick #printwithme print. And, after more than seven years of donating their space to community groups for everything from festival planning meetings to monthly HOA gatherings. The Point was recognized for their efforts by Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce when thy were named a finalist for their Small Business of the Year.
Meet Dan and Paul. Dan’s closest. Paul is 87 and Dan is 79 “and one half.” They were on Green Mountain and I met them on a training walk. “Step aside Let the young man through,” Dan said. “I’m not so young,” I wheezed. We’d just come up the steep bit. After I told them I was 65 they mocked my youthfulness relentlessly. They were on a 6 mile loop. I was doing 2. “If you make it to 80 you have a 1 in 3 chance of making 90,” Paul said. Then we took different forks. “If you see us out here 10 years from now say hi,” he yelled. One of the things I’m looking forward to on @morgandzak and my @hikingthecdt trip is all the people we’ll meet and have a few brief moments to interact with. Like these two inspiring hikers I met on my CDT training hike today #cdttraining#greenmountain#olympustg5#altrarunning#timp#coloradohiking#coloradogram#jeffcoopenspace
