Truth bomb: I'm OBSESSED with baked potatoes. I mean, what's not to like about a baked potato. You've got your cheese, butter and bacon... My mouth is watering as I type this btw. Obviously I can't eat baked potatoes everyday, so I thought I'd re-create my own healthy take on a steak house staple. I'm using sweet potato instead because it carries a ton more flavour as well as nutrition. Then I load em up with lean turkey sausage, apples, caramelized onions and top it with some cheese, because you HAVE to. There you have it! So easy and soooo delicious. Gorgeous bit of slightly marbled BEEF SHIN in my big stock pot, about to get a good browsing in #ghee with some: Onions, red chilli powder (I use my mothers home roasted chilli powder which is very 🔥!), haldi, paprika, my mother's home roasted/ ground garam masala, nigella seeds, a few cloves, coriander, a couple bay leaves, elachi powder (green cardamom) ginger, garlic and Himalayan pink salt before I add my washed #pulses and #grains to make a big pot of ✨HALEEM!✨ on this cold, icy day. ❄️ The haleem should be cooked in time for an early dinner and what I'll do is post a little step by step of each main stage. Take note of the above listed spices and then the rest is really just down to following a few cooking steps and one important meat prep step (once the meat is fully cooked) which makes the final dish really authentic.👌🏼I'll show you this later 👍🏼✨❤️ Btw, you don't need a cut of meat with a marrow bone. I bought this to make a beef stew but then changed my mind. It'll flavour the dish really nicely anyway so no love lost! #haleem#beef#beefshin#marrowbone#pakistanifood#classicdish#homecooked#realfod#pakistani#traditionalcuisine#slowcooked#stockpot#igdaily#spicy#curry#stew#mughlai#themodernpakistanicookhouse#myrecipes
