"Nice"cream 😋🍦--- when you have frozen bananas and a perfectly ripe avocado you experiment 😜 We'll call it chocolate chocolate chip nice cream. --- 2 frozen bananas, 1 avocado, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 2tbs chocolate chips, dash of salt, approximately half cup almond milk (just use to desired creaminess)... blend up in food processor, stir in a few more chocolate chips if desired. We drink coffee and eat chocolate all the time (or al least in Belgium/Europe 😉), but who actually knows how to get from plant to cup or bar? ☕🍫 Ever since I visited this youth project in the Peruvian coffee and cacao sector, 5 years ago, I have become more conscious, grateful and picky when it comes to coffee and chocolate. Being here again right now only strengthens that feeling... We really have no clue how much effort farmers put into their products and how little we are paying for so much hard labour. Quick advice? Although it is not the "ideal world solution", please buy your coffee and chocolate organic, fair (and/or direct) trade and of high quality next time. And take a moment to be grateful for it... Not only for its better taste, but also for the work of the farmers and for being more socially and ecologically conscious. Because, yes, consumers' demands do make the difference - I've seen it with my own eyes on the supply side of the economic chain. 😉 By the way, here's a sneak peak into the process of picking, processing, drying, evaluating and making coffee and chocolate. And also a fun fact: do you know the pulp of fresh cacao beans has the MOST DELICIOUS fruity taste ever, and you can easily chew on it before processing cacao into chocolate... Yes, what I'm trying to say is: maybe a farmer on the other side of the world has "chewed on the chocolate you are eating" haha! Modo de preparo: Em uma tigela adicione o coco ralado, leite condensado e leite em pó e misture bem. Acomode em um papel manteiga e modele um retângulo bem apertado, corte com uma faca úmida. Banhe em chocolate derretido, acomode em papel manteiga e leve para gelar.
