#marchmeetthemaker TODAY’s prompt ... which i am posting TODAY !!! (this is an achievement in itself) is ACHIEVEMENTS If you follow me I’ve already told you ALL about this but i’m going to tell you again because i’m still pretty pleased about it. This month i was featured in @molliemakes magazine. A beautiful craft magazine that my mum was able to pick up in WH Smiths!! There are a lot of incredible makers out there so my work catching someone’s eye (@roseewoodland ❤️) and being deemed worthy of this opportunity to be exposed to a whole new audience felt like a big achievement. Thank you guys X much appreciated!
#marchmeetthemaker day 24 is achievements. I decided to feature a few of the places I have been published. My D&D photo was purchased for use on the cover of Dungeons & Dragons and Philosophy. My snake keychain was featured on Buzzfeed. My pink ears were purchased and used for a Halloween photoshoot on renttherunway.com. A photo of me wearing my handmade ears and antlers was published in The Daily Star Journal. And I had an article written about me in Central Mo News. I am always honored anytime my work is published!

@joannehawker #marchmeetthemaker Day 24: Achievements! . . We have achieved so much since we started our home business, but this by far was the best! . We built a shop @kcrenfest in 2017. We are so proud of it and the excitement is still there! Chomping at the bit to get back up there and finish the painting and little things that we ran out of time on. . #meetthemaker#achievements#bestnewbuilding
So day 24 of #marchmeetthemaker - Achievements - so for me my biggest achievement is certainly the publication of my first book ‘Hack and Whack’ and more awesome still is the fact the author is Francesca Simon. It’s a strange thing to be published for the first time, personally I never felt there was a sort of wow moment or any sense of relief but I did enjoy the book launch I organised in November in Cambridge. It was a lovely way to bring together everyone involved and I got to share the moment with my parents who supported me in every way to get to that point! #marchmeetthemaker2018#marchmeetthemakerday24#achievements#booklaunch#hackandwhack#picturebook#childrensillustration
#marchmeetthemaker 24. Achievements Of the things I’ve achieved, these are the ones I can show certificates for. In 2000 I received Communication Arts’ Award of Excellence for helping David Lance Goines illustrate Alice Waters’ Chez Panisse Cafe Cookbook. In 2014, I was one of three recipients of the Victor Thomas Jacoby Award. Besides the certificates, these two things (working with DLG and winning the Jacoby $) have helped me on my way so much. My life’s path would have been very different without them.
this is from February last year, the day I ubered all this work to @thepaxtoncentre in #crystalpalace to fill up one of their walls for a month. It was an achievement for several reasons, a couple being: I said I was going to do it and I then actually did it (rare); I cranked all the work out (about 15 pieces) in the space of three or so weeks while working a full time job with a long commute; I sold two things the first night; I exhibited well-received work in real life, not in dreamland where I often pull off such things and it's not such a big deal. #achievements#marchmeetthemaker
Day 24 #marchmeetthemaker is Achievements. I feel like just getting this far with this little business along side having two small children and a chronic illness is an achievement in itself and I have to remind myself of that some days when I feel like I’m not achieving enough. In terms of highlights though, I was super thrilled when @theofficialselfridges started stocking this Alphabet Card range! Felt like a huge leap for the business. I hope to look back this time next year and to have something new and exciting to add to my list, onwards and upwards 💪🏻🙏🤞🏻 #achievements#businessgoals#alphabetrange#maxmademedoit#mama#mumboss#smallindependentbusiness
