Because all that we do boils down to this: Christ and family. Work is a tool to give us more time and relaxation with them. The moment it becomes something else (If we allow it to come in the way of family or stress us out) it’s time to re-prioritize. Both @austinjholt and I have done this (career wise) multiple times. Dropped something and walked away. Like WALKED AWAY. Because it was no longer serving our family the way we wanted. ⠀⠀ Let me just encourage you in this: Just because you get the job promotion doesn’t mean you have to take it. Just because you have a “once in a lifetime” opportunity doesn’t mean you shouldn’t let it pass you by. Just because you’ve built a successful, high income stream, doesn’t mean you have to keep at it forever - especially if it comes at the expense of your family and what is most important to you. ⠀⠀ Does that job promotion mean an uproot from all you and your kids know and love? (Not saying that’s inherently bad - sometimes that is desired as a family unit) Does that successful company you built keep you from participating in family events and being a part of important moments in life? Then at what cost are you willing to pursue the “American dream”? I’ll tell you that my American dream means creating income to serve my family and allow more time with them. Not the other way around. ⠀⠀ We put our time in what we value most. We can say we are working for our family yet allow it to consume us, take us away from them and then allow it to stress us so much it alters the way we treat them! ⠀⠀ ❓What do you think of this? Have you ever took a 180 in life to re-prioritize your family?❓ ⠀⠀ (If you wonder what we’ve dropped and walked away from - more on that coming soon, along with a super HUGE announcement. We’ve been sitting on this for a long time you guys. Stoked to finally share it with you 😉🎉)
