One of my mottoโs are: โHappiness is fleeting, itโs an emotion and it will come and go. So remember, donโt worry if you arenโt happy all of the time because you are not meant to be! But find the little things that make you happy and revel in them!โ And with that I will turn and say, I am definitely not a happy one all of the time! I have to work hard at it and I know what makes me happy, I search it out and I go to it. Some may call me a bit selfish, maybe a little materialistic but โmy happyโ is being on my own and by myself. I am an introvert, I am the most comfortable doing things singular. I love my coffee shop dates with myself, I like to work out, I wander aisles in stores โwindow shoppingโ and I take naps. Yes those are some of my little โhappy placesโ. What is the opposite of Happyโฆ? It can be sad and mostly to me it means ANGRY! Oh gosh, so many time have I found myself in an angry place. I will ruminateโฆ Rumination is defined as the compulsively focused attention on the symptoms of one's distressโฆ. THIS IS NOT A GOOD STATE OF MIND. So this quote totally touched me and my heart. Although itโs hard to crawl out of that hole of anger and/or sadness because; I totally believe on the other side of anger is a whole lot of sad and hurt feelingsโฆ Clawing your way out of that anger ditch really is better for everyone, especially you. After getting around 20 minutes of sleep I set out to Anza Borrego for the Lyrid meteor shower. Once I got there I immediately set up my camera and started shooting so that I could capture as many meteors as I could. This shot is a composite of 27 images: 15 for the Milky Way stack, 9 for the meteors and 3 for the light painted serpent. My favorite thing about desert plants is their 'don't you come near me!' attitudes. Which I completely understand, as someone who struggles with anxiety sometimes I too wish I had spines all over my body ๐๐ I was hoping to at least catch some cacti in bloom this weekend but no luck, it's now in the 90s in the desert and not much is in bloom anymore.
