The 南海日日新聞 (Amami newspaper) tracked me down, and I had a nice chat with Toyama-san while checking out a farm where they’re planting Koshi Hikari rice for the kokuto shochu industry. This is from today’s morning paper. I’m becoming a big fan of Amami, and if you’ve never been before, then you absolutely must go. Lovely people, beautiful scenery, and delicious kokuto shochu.
