If you really want the illusion of a smaller waste you definitely need to focus on putting back exercises into your routine 🙌🏼 ~ • Also did some abs; the 3 exercises in the first video really target the lower abs. Do them as a circuit without rest until you’ve finished all 3 & repeat 3-4 times. • • The second video are 2 of my favourite 👌🏼 Try them as a circuit as well repeating 3-4 times! Sissy squats. Why? Because unlike traditional barbell squats, Sissy Squats isolate the quad by eliminating recruitment of the glutes. So if you find your quads lagging behind your hamstrings and buttocks, Sissy squats may be the right exercise to balance out your anterior and posterior chain muscles. Here's the basic version of the sissy squat, using your body's weight for resistance. You'll need a block or step that's about two to four inches high, sturdy enough to support your weight, and won't slip out from under you in the middle of a rep. You can also opt for a rail or post you can hold onto for balance with one hand while you're getting the hang of it. 1️⃣Set your heels shoulder-width apart on the edge of the block, with your toes on the floor and pointed straight ahead. 2️⃣Lower your body backward as your knees bend. Descend as far as you can without losing your balance, then push back up to the starting position. ⏺There's no need to straighten your knees at the top. Just do your reps smoothly within the best range of motion you can manage without losing the alignment of your torso and thighs. ⏺You should feel a deep burn in your quadriceps after a few reps, but no pain in your knees. Do as many reps as you can with good form.
When you have 6 years of post secondary education, have studied at 5 different universities around the world, have 3 degrees including 2 Masters, a few research publications in there.... but still cant count to 10 reps 😅😅 🤔🤔 .
