Did you know that dairy is a common food sensitivity? It causes inflammation, worsens skin symptoms, and is mucus forming. You know that chronic congestion or acne that you have? Well, it might be the dairy😫 Humans are the only mammals that continue to drink milk into adulthood, even though we weren’t designed to metabolize it. In fact, after 7 years old we make significantly less of the enzyme to break down lactose. It’s no surprise that so many people don't feel quite right when they eat dairy... . Anecdotally, when I started university, I wanted to make sure I was healthy and prevent osteoporosis, so I upped my calcium intake. I drank mostly milk, had yogurt daily, and put cheese on everything! After all...you're not a McNaughton if you don't LOVE cheese! It took a while before I discovered Naturopathic Medicine and figured out it was the dairy making me so sick. . FAT BOMBS! Since starting Keto, I have been looking for healthy sources of fat to keep me fueled! These bombs also trigger that “reward pathway” when you just need a treat!  Here is my newest attempt!While they could look prettier, they taste delicious!  Ingredients • coconut oil • creamed coconut (found at bulk barn) • desiccated coconut • vanilla stevia drops • Himalayan pink salt  I had to play around with the proportions to get the right texture and taste. Admittedly the majority is coconut oil and all the ingredients blended together formed a “whipped cream” texture.  All you have to do is drop balls onto a lined cookie sheet, place in the freezer for 5-10 mins to set, and enjoy!  NOTE: it bears mentioning that fat does not make us fat, but rather fat and carbs together in excess do.
